I originally wrote this piece of music for the wedding of my cousin Alexis and Bérengère who had asked me to play some guitar during the ceremony. As I wasn't sure what to choose, I ended up writing this. The French title means "the awakening of the butterfly", and I found this great photo to go with it showing a black swallowtail leaving its chrysalis. I thought it was a nice theme and the metamorphisis of the butterfly is similar to starting a new chapter in one's life.
