You may not call it music, or maybe that's just because it sounds like it's coming from a different world. The story behind it is inspired by Isaac Asimov's Foundation science-fiction novels, where Terminus is a secluded planet right on the edge of the galaxy where scientists settle to write an encyclopedia and capture all the knowledge of the human race. This starts with someone waking up in a spaceship and getting ready for a hyperspace jump to take a shortcut accross space. Then it approaches Terminus, lands on the surface and the doors open...
This was a fun experiment all conducted with Splat, to edit and put together a patchwork of recorded sounds: breathing, heartbeat, plane, boiling water and wind effect using a brush on a sheet of paper. It also uses a built-in reverb effect and a lot of synthesized sounds to create noises and melodies with constrained randomness.
